It was Harvest Philadelphia part of the Harvest America Crusades---a ministry out of Harvest Christian Fellowship’s (Riverside, California) pastor and Evangelist Greg Laurie’s Harvest ministries.

Saturday night Pastor Laurie preached on The Pursuit of Happiness.  Mathew chapter 19’s account of the Rich Young Ruler. This was the young successful  leader who approached Jesus with the confession of having kept all the 10 commandments, but  walked away perplexed after Jesus compel him to give all his stuff away in order to follow him.

The evangelist convincingly gave testimony and fact how money and earthly success never fills the void in those who had accomplished them.

Sunday Night was Home Before Dark a message based on Jesus parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15.

God spoke to me at the end of 2012 and said that 2013 would be a year of souls. I was able to see another part of this prophecy in manifestation in Philadelphia. It was September 28 & 29 it was first week of the Northern Hemisphere Harvest Season.

According to sources, 80 percent of the stadium, left their seats, stood at the converted altar at the Well Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Saturday September 28. It seemed like a similar number on Sunday. The call was to come to Christ for salvation as well as recommitment to God in their walk with Him.

Thousands Come To Christ - Greg Laurie Preaches

Greg Laurie wasn’t the only Christian celebrity proclaiming Christ on the Wells Fargo Center’s (Philadelphia Flyers) hockey stadium platform. Saturday Night gospel extraordinaire Kirk Franklin, NEEDTOBREATHE, and Lacrae were there to rally the crowd in praise in worship. On Sunday night, it was gospel rock band MercyMe and Jeremy Camp.

Pastor Greg said that next to Southern California more harvest crusades were held in Philly than anywhere else in the world. The crusade was broadcast live on WFIL a local Philly station as well as streamed live on the internet reaching the rest of the world. Churches, other venues and homes and all around the globe also host the event via satellite, big screens and television.
